Hive, last updated 24 October 2026.

Hive shows every .nim name as a cell in a living hive. A name owner can publish a site in the cell, sign settings, give their app a database and see their users as bees. We keep only what the service needs to work.

What we keep, and where

  • Names: .nim names, sub-names and their Nimiq addresses, read from public transactions on the Nimiq chain (the Pigeon registry). We keep a copy only to show the hive; the chain is the source.
  • Sites: the files an owner uploads to their cell, and the time of the upload. If an owner links a site on their own server instead, we keep its address.
  • Signed settings: the key and value rows an owner signs with their wallet, with the signature and a version number. This includes the owner's page choices (which cards visitors see, their order, a short intro and an accent colour).
  • App data: the collections and documents an owner, or their app, stores in the cell's database, the read and write rules of each collection, and daily counts of reads and writes.
  • Bees: when a player signs in to an app with their wallet, we keep their Nimiq address and the time of their first sign-in for that cell. Owners of a sub-name under the cell are bees too; that comes from the chain.
  • Name choice: if a player has two names in a cell (their own .nim name and a sub-name under the cell), we keep which one they chose to show there. The choice counts only in that cell.
  • Visit counts: one number per cell per day, and a running total. We count visits, not visitors.
  • Orders: when a player buys in a cell we keep the order: the product, the price, the player's Nimiq address, the seller's address, the time and, once paid, the payment's transaction. The payment itself happens on the Nimiq chain between the buyer and the seller. Orders older than 30 days that are finished are deleted.
  • Shop payments (Get paid): for each sale the owner opens we keep the amount, the note, the time and, once paid, the payer's address and the transaction. Only the owner sees them; finished sales are deleted after 30 days.
  • Pictures: cover and product pictures an owner uploads are stored by Hive and shown to everyone on that cell's page. The owner can replace or remove them.
  • Your own domain: if an owner connects a domain, we keep the domain, the cell it points to and its status, and a security certificate for it is issued by Let's Encrypt.

What is public

  • Names, sub-names and addresses. They are public on the Nimiq chain anyway.
  • Signed settings, so anyone can check the signature. Never put a password, a key or anything private in settings.
  • The bees of a cell: their chosen names, a shortened form of their address and the order they arrived in. This list shows in the cell's Bees card.
  • Visit counts.
  • App data in a collection whose read rule is "everyone". The owner chooses this rule for each collection. A collection set to "owner" can be read only by the signed-in owner.
  • The vault: the NIM balance of the owner's own wallet, read from the chain. It shows to visitors only if the owner turns it on.
  • Payments and tips are transactions on the Nimiq chain and are public there. Orders themselves are not public: a player sees their own, the owner sees the orders of their cell.
  • A connected domain is public once it is live.

What we do not collect

  • No email, phone number, real name or location.
  • No account and no password. You sign in by signing a short message with your wallet. Signing sends no money, and your wallet key never reaches Hive.
  • No ads and no tracking inside Hive.
  • Your IP address is used only in memory: to count a visit once a day and to slow down abuse (for example too many orders in an hour). It is not stored, and our server does not keep access logs for Hive.
  • An owner sign-in lasts 24 hours and a player sign-in lasts 7 days. These sign-in keys live only in the server's memory.

What can never be deleted

Records on the Nimiq chain, such as registering a name or taking a sub-name, are public and permanent. Nobody, including us, can delete or change them.

What lives on our server can be removed. An owner deletes their own documents in the Data tab and changes their settings at any time. To have a bee entry, a name choice or other data about your address removed, write to hive@heylogram.com with the address; we will delete it and let you know.

Sites and apps published on Hive

Sites and apps published by name owners are their own. Their content, and any data they collect, are the responsibility of the owner, who should have their own privacy page. Uploaded sites run in a sealed box: they cannot set cookies on our address or read other sites' storage. Report a harmful site to hive@heylogram.com and we will review it.

Analytics on the hosting page

The page around the app (heylogram.com) counts anonymous page views and clicks with PostHog. It cannot see inside the app and does not create a profile of you.
